The Quikscribe Recorder and Quikscribe Player provide advanced digital dictation and transcription capabilities. As far as we know, no other digital dictation or transcription application in the world comes close to the power and functionality that we can provide with our custom built real-time record engine and our unique IAF (Intelligent Audio File).
At first glance, it may appear that our GUI is deceptively simple, however under this interface is a very powerful real-time record and playback engine that we wrote from the ground up in C++. Note: When we use the term real-time, we mean the ability to record, compress, insert, overwrite and instantly undo and redo unlimited audio edits in real-time. Then if you combine this with file format IAF (Intelligent Audio File) you now have the ability to insert text, documents, images, metadate etc, thus enabling you as an integrator to do basically anything that you can think of.
It is for this reason, that Quikscribe is currently integrated into many different industries around the world e.g. Legal, Medical, Military, Loss Adjustment, Insurance, Banking, Educational, Courts, Police etc.
All current record engines (that we are aware of), simply record digital audio. YES they can record using deferent sample rates, YES they can insert audio and once these files are recorded, they can be sent electronically via e-mail, FTP or LAN, but all of these features are inherent benefits of digital.
If you want to fully understand what we mean by advanced features and functions, visit our comparison page to see a list of what Quikscribe can do compared to what the others can not do.
To make integration easy, we provide a range of development tools and SDK's (with source code) and documentation that demonstrate how to programmatically communicate with the Quikscribe Recorder, Quikscribe Player and our IAF (Intelligent Audio File) in both VB6, C++ and .NET.
